Program Design:
Develops and monitors strength & conditioning programs for assigned varsity athletic teams.

Foresees potential injury risks and takes preventative measures; in the event of injury capable of implementing an emergency medical procedures.

Teaches and supervises proper lifting techniques and assists in spotting when necessary.

Supports the Strength & Conditioning Program Coordinator with all Exercise Techniques tasks, knowledge and skills responsible for.

Organizes team and supervisor orientation, follow-up meetings, in-service training meetings for supervisors, and nutrition and weight management meetings according to the Strength & Conditioning Program Coordinator schedule.

Assists with the general operation of the strength facility in the absence of the Strength & Conditioning Program Coordinator.

Assists with general maintenance and cleaning of the Strength & Conditioning facility and equipment.

Testing & Evaluation:
Assists in fitness testing, computation of results, and evaluation of individual athletes.

Exercise Science:
Demonstrates an understanding of human muscle physiology in order to appropriately design safe and effective exercise programs and obtain desired results.

Demonstrates an understanding of human bioenergetics and metabolism in order to appropriately design safe, effective and activity-specific exercise programs and obtain desired results.


Duties & Responsibilities

Works in collaboration with assigned Post-Doctoral student and utilizes information concerning appropriate weight for student-athletes in order to prescribe training programs that bring about desired results in body composition, strength, muscular, and cardiovascular endurance.

Recognizes symptoms and behaviors associated with eating disorders utilizing physical performance evaluations and observations.

Performs other related duties as assigned.



Master’s degree and two years of experience in a Division I intercollegiate strength and conditioning program. Professional strength and conditioning experience will be considered.

CSCS or SCCC certification and CPR/AED certification is required.
