The Assistant Director is part of the Wellness Resource Center, within the Division of Student Affairs. This position is responsible for the development, implementation, oversight, and evaluation of an overall plan for the prevention of harm related to sexual violence. This includes programming and prevention related to consent, healthy relationships, bystander intervention, domestic violence, relationship abuse and violence, sexual assault, sexual harassment, and stalking. The Assistant Director, in conjunction with the Director, provides leadership and direction to the Wellness Resource Center.  Uses evidence and theory based interventions, procedures, and systems to help improve the health and academic performance of individual students, student groups, and campus communities within the University. Key functions of this position includes design and delivery of training programs, project management, program evaluation and assessment, co-instruction of peer education public health course, supervision, and general administrative duties. The Assistant Director works collaboratively across the University in both programming and committee participation. Performs other duties as assigned.



Required Education and Experience:
Master’s Degree in a health-related field and at least two years’ experience in Public Health, Health Education, Higher Education, or related field. Minimum two years demonstrated experience in program design, implementation, and evaluation in a university setting. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills and Abilities:
*Demonstrated ability to coordinate and conduct presentations on sexual violence and bystander intervention.
*Strong understanding and ability to adapt programs to comply with federal, state, and local laws.
*Demonstrated ability to educate and supervise undergraduate student peer educators in lesson content, program development, implementation strategies, evaluation of programming and peer interactions.
*Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
*Willingness and ability to interact with diverse constituency groups.
*Ability to work independently and in group settings.
*Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment.
*Willingness and ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, and travel to other University campuses.
