We have an opening for a Full Time Senior Fitness Specialist to work at our Employer Health and Fitness Center located in Celebration, FL!

Position starts March 2020

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Primary responsibilities will consist of helping people to move more and sit less by interacting with medical fitness center participants in the medical fitness center, in one-on-one appointments and in group settings, delivering assessments and prescribing exercise programs, medical fitness center upkeep and administrative functions.  This role will also include ownership responsibilities for one or more components of the program such as reporting, ordering supplies, etc. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provide excellent customer service to our client and their employees
  • Execute, describe and effectively coach implemented educational presentations, group training exercises, and posture circuit components.
  • Perform Physical Demand Analyses including raw data collection, use of measurement tools, video analysis for specific job demands, and overall report review
  • Identify high-risk work areas and follow-up with team members to ensure early symptom recognition and prevention
  • Evaluate individual’s physical abilities using Physical Performance Testing and musculoskeletal assessments designed to resemble specific work environments
  • Provide corrective coaching on poor ergonomic body postures and provide potential countermeasures during line-side follow-ups, group training, video analysis, and physical performance testing
  • Provide routine facility monitoring including equipment checks and locker room rounds to ensure member safety.
  • Support the development of and execution of the site’s strategic plan.

Qualifications

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or a closely related field is required
  • Personal Training certification from nationally recognized, accredited organization (e.g. ACSM, NASM, NSCA etc.) is preferred
  • Current certification in CPR/AED (hands on program required) and First Aid required
  • Wellcoaches wellness coaching certification or a coaching certification from an ICF-accredited program preferred
  • Advanced fitness certification(s) (FMS, Exercise is Medicine, Corrective Specialist, etc.) preferred.

Experience:

  • 2-3 years corporate fitness or medical fitness experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Intermediate computer literacy skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
